Why It matters

In 2020 alone, over 600 people took their own lives in Lithuania, 19 percent of them are young people. That is almost 2 suicides per day and for every one of these people, there are friends, partners, children, relatives and colleagues left behind.

We strongly believe that timely emotional support is extremely important in the country with one of the highest suicide rates in the world. Therefore, our volunteers answer phone calls and chat messages 24/7. People can call us for free from all over Lithuania. It is often the only available source of emotional support for young people, especially on weekends, at night, in small towns.
